The Secret to Happiness

Okay, so I’m only one stranger on the internet who occasionally publishes blog posts. And alright, I don’t truly think that there is one universal secret to happiness per se. All I can do is speculate.

I think the secret to happiness is surrounding ourselves with lots of little things that bring us joy. Surrounding ourselves with good people who we click with. Finding songs, shows, and movies we like and being their audience. Dabbling in different things to find what our hobbies are and then engaging with these hobbies. Finding genuine joy and pleasure in the little things in life—and making sure to notice them. A sunset, the way a spiderweb dances in the breeze and twinkles in the sunlight, a stubborn dandelion growing in the crack of some concrete.

I think the secret really isn’t so secret at all. I think it’s just hard to remember sometimes.
