Hi, I’m K and my hobbies include starting a blog and then vanishing for months at a time without writing anything. Hey, how you doing, nice to meet you.
Okay so here’s the thing. I genuinely enjoy writing. I love the process, I love threading thoughts together and uniting words and ideas, and I love the feeling of pride I get when I see the end result. And yet somehow I keep finding myself, well, not writing.
Well, I sat down for somewhere between ten seconds and several months and decided that simply won’t do. So, here I am challenging myself to…well, a challenge. I challenge myself to write and publish one blog post a month for an entire year.
There are bloggers who actively release content multiple times a week unfalteringly. Looking at these bloggers would suggest that twelve pieces of writing in an entire year is incredibly achievable; is, perhaps even, easy. However, looking at my past few months would suggest otherwise. Hey, sometimes it’s nice to set a challenge that seems deceptively easy but will still serve to push and encourage you.
Now here I am. Month zero. September, 2020. One post down. I wonder what this year will bring.
Here’s my question to you: do you ever find yourself losing motivation for blogging/things you enjoy and if so, how do you rebuild the habit?

Go for it!
If you can keep up the once a month thing – I’m gonna be here cheering!
Just because I fucking suck at self-discipline and this sounds like a manageable enough promise!

Thanks! I didn’t expect anyone to leave a comment on this post so I’m so thrilled that you did!
I have already sort of failed as it’s been a month and two weeks since I posted this, but I’m back and I’m determined to get this right!
