Why “A Conglomeration of Thoughts”?

I have wanted to start a blog for years. Finally, last night on a whim I created this blog and wrote my first blog post.

But why did I choose the blog name “A Conglomeration of Thoughts”? Honestly, I don’t really have an answer to that question. I really just don’t know. Just like the writing of that first blog post and the creation of the blog itself, the name was an entirely spontaneous decision.

Now I’m writing this post partly because I’m still not entirely certain where this blog is going to go. I’m also partly writing it as a way to document this current blog name in case I end up changing it somewhere down the road.

There is something I am concerned about with this blog name, though. It’s probably going to be one of the driving reasons I change my blog name (if I ever do).  I’m worried that it sounds plain pretentious. I’m worried that it just isn’t me. I mean, how many times do you use the word “conglomeration” in your daily life? I know that I pretty much never do.

So you see I really have no idea what made me suddenly think of it when I was creating my blog. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see where it leads.

What I’m curious to know is, how did other bloggers choose their blog names?  And did any of you ever change the name of your blog?
